Ofrendas - Offerings
Ofrendas - Offerings
from $125.00
In November of 2023 I had the amazing opportunity to spend a few days in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico over Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion that includes food, drink and celebration.
If you find yourself in Mexico during el Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) you must visit one of the panteons or cemeteries. The graves of the deceased are cleaned and filled with ofrendas (offerings) of flowers, food and drink. This scene is from the cemetery of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
